Event Overview

Have an awareness and understanding of safeguarding including recognising the signs and symptoms of abuse are as well as how the risk of abuse can be reduced. Be able to respond appropriately to suspected or alleged abuse including how to recognise and report unsafe practices.
Understand the principles of safeguarding Know how to reduce the likelihood of abuse Know how to respond to suspected or disclosed abuse Protect people from harm and abuse Understand restrictive practice
Pen and paper. For the face-to-face sessions we will provide you with the resources if applicable, but you are welcome to bring additional items.
Raises awareness of safeguarding and the key responsibilities of Health and Social Care workers that work with individuals, or their families. Health and Social Care workers to have a knowledge of the requirements around safeguarding, identifying abuse and being able to respond to abuse with the importance of reporting.
