Event Overview

Carry out the survey of an infant or child using DRABC as well as how to carry out a secondary survey and full body examination of an infant or child. Handle a variety of injuries, including choking, asthma, wounds, shock, burns and scalds, electrical injuries, eye and head injuries, fractures, sprains and strains.
Managing a responsive and an unresponsive casualty, CPR Roles and responsibilities of a first aider Choking, shock, wounds and bleeding Anaphylaxis Fainting Managing a situation Seizures and epilepsy
Pen and paper. For the face-to-face sessions we will provide you with the resources if applicable, but you are welcome to bring additional items.
Suitable for parents/grandparents or those working with children who do not require Ofsted registration. This course will help to understand the role and responsibilities of the emergency paediatric first aider as well as the ability to assess emergency situations.
